Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. Yes, Coach Prime may have not won the championship this year, but the Buffs HC will always be known as the architect behind two of the most talented quarterbacks ever to enter the NFL draft. “They should be going 1-2 [in the draft], that’s the way I feel about it. They are the two best players in this draft. … The surest bets in this draft are those two young men, and I didn’t stutter or stammer when I said that,” Coach Prime proudly declared. And while no moment could be more fulfilling for a head coach than watching his stars become top picks, Deion also realizes that he will not have the luxury of having Hunter and Shedeur on his roster and he will have to move on. But before turning the page, Deion let his emotions flow in a heartfelt goodbye.

Even without Heisman winner Travis Hunter and superstar QB Shedeur, Coach Prime isn’t backing down. Well, Deion Sanders is locked in. He’s focused, hungry, and ready to shock the CFB worked yet again. As of now, with 30 new players locked in during the early signing period, the Buffs are reloaded. That includes 13 straight from high school and 17 straight out of the portal. However, most of them? Already on campus. Already grinding. So, this spring marks a new era. You can say it is a new squad with the same mission. But first thing first.

Well, Coach Prime gave Travis Hunter a parting gift. It appears as a moment, a memory, and a message… On April 8, Deion dropped a heartfelt IG video clip right before the draft. Honestly, perfect timing with a perfect message. This wasn’t just a goodbye—it was a boost. You can say it was a statement that could elevate Hunter’s draft stock. Right now, what better gift is there?

However, in the clip, Coach Prime poured his heart out, stating, “Travis Hunter. Do I need to go any further? We’ve never seen a player of this nature. We’ve never seen a player do what he’s done. We’ve never seen this period stop putting them in the box and let him be who God has called him to be in the gifts that has bestowed upon him.” So, this powerful and raw talent of Travis is unforgettable. And here, Coach Prime made it clear that Travis Hunter is one of a kind.

Deion didn’t stop there. He kept the love flowing, dropping one more powerful line about Travis. “How far can he go? The sky’s the limit. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Travis Hunter,” said the CU Buffs head coach. To be honest, Coach Prime spoke it loud: Travis isn’t done. Because he’s just getting started. And the next chapter? It will be bigger, brighter, and boundless. Given Travis’s journey, those compliments make total sense.

See, Hunter’s journey is nothing short of legendary. From day one, he was that guy—the nation’s top high school prospect in 2022. Then came the shocker: he chose Jackson State over every powerhouse, linking up with Coach Prime. But he didn’t stop there. When Deion moved to Colorado, Travis followed—and took the spotlight with him. Fast forward to 2024, he was everywhere. Literally. Averaging over 120 snaps per game, he looks like a lockdown corner as well as an explosive receiver. Honestly, he is a game-changer on both sides of the ball. As of now, his grind paid off big—Heisman Trophy, Bednarik Award, Biletnikoff Award—all in the same season. Let’s be real; he is the first to ever do it.

Now? He’s a top-tier prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft—a once-in-a-generation talent. And the best part? He’s just getting started. But while a new journey is about to begin, his $5.15 billion NFL future appears nearly within reach.

The NFL’s verdict on Travis Hunter appears to be confirmed

With the NFL Draft days away, the buzz is wild—and Travis Hunter is at the center of it. And why not? He’s a rare two-way phenom, making his draft projection a total mystery. But the picture’s clearing up fast. As of now, teams are fading from the race, one by one. However, suddenly, all signs point to one Top-3 team still holding tight in the Hunter sweepstakes.

As of now, one player’s fate looks nearly locked in—Cam Ward to the Titans at No. 1, unless they trade down. It’s the buzz everywhere, and it just fits. But that leaves 3 names swirling around the Top 3: Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, and wildcard quarterback Shedeur. While Shedeur’s stock is sliding, creating a clear gap behind Ward, now, all eyes are on the Cleveland Browns at No. 2, although they need a QB. But Hunter and Carter are elite talents. And just as the debate raged on, fresh intel from top NFL insiders may have tipped the scale in Hunter’s favor.

Here, Adam Schefter just dropped a gem, and when he talks, the league listens. However, he revealed on IG, “Penn St. edge rusher Abdul Carter had breakfast Sunday in State College, Pa., with New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll. Carter also is now scheduled to visit the Giants on Thursday in New Jersey, and he figures to be a top-3 pick.” Although the Giants were once locked in on a QB—likely Shedeur Sanders—but free agency changed the game. As of now, Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter are firmly in play for Big Blue.

It’s safe to say the Giants’ plan at No. 3 looks simple—grab whichever star falls to them. But their recent access to Abdul Carter hints at something bigger. It suggests they expect Carter to be there. And that means one thing: Travis Hunter to the Browns at No. 2.

Of course, Cleveland could flip the script and roll the dice on Shedeur. But right now? All signs point to Hunter in brown and orange.
