The ex-Wolverines’ HC had created havoc on the recruiting front while leaving. And it’s Moore who is cleaning up the mess to this day. Already Moore has earned a lot of respect after successfully flipping the No.1 recruit Bryce Underwood from Brian Kelly’s LSU Tigers. However, the Wolverines HC is far from hitting the ‘SETTLE’ button when it comes to revamping his roster. His efforts are serving him well, as another elite talent shows interest in Ann Arbor.

It’s time for some talent hunting. The nation’s top 2025 and 2026 recruits are descending upon Orlando, Florida. The 2025 Under Armour All-America Game kick-off is here. Moore being Moore, having an eye for talent will make the most use of the games. Now that Underwood has chosen the Wolverines, that’s some real flex, isn’t it? Maybe that’s because Michigan has already slipped into the elite talents’ wishlist. Out of all, looks like the running backs are inclined towards flipping to Ann Arbor. As reported by On3, Moore’s squad has already wooed the country’s top running back.

As per the reports, Savion Hiter told Steve Wiltfong that the Wolverines are his top choice. However, Moore will have to fight with Georgia, Ohio State, and Tennessee to land Hiter. The young chap carries a strong resume as he had a dominant freshman season, rushing for 1,526 yards and 24 touchdowns, averaging 11.7 yards per carry. Interestingly, he is not the only one high on the Wolverines. A four-star running back, Javian Osborne, also confirmed that Michigan is his top school at the moment. How does landing a running back help Moore?
That’s because his present RB, Donovan Edwards, had somewhat of a rough season. Remember his feat from Week 1 against Fresno State? Edwards finished the game with just 27 yards on 11 carries. That shows the RB room needs a shake-up. Now, please note that Moore is looking forward to revamping the wide receiver room as well.
Sherrone Moore’s vision gradually takes shape
After all, the influx of recruits will be the ultimate catalyst to ignite Underwood’s competitive spirit. Already, Moore has hit a bump when it came to his ‘Mission Protect Bryce Underwood.’ That’s because he failed to land the $915k talent, Miller Moss, who chose Jeff Brohm’s Louisville Cardinals over the Wolverines. But never mind; Moore is in no mood to brood over his loss. Why would he? After all, the transfer portal has now opened its gates.
From the transfer portal, Moore only plans to land the wide receivers. The first to grab the Michigan Wolverines HC’s interest is the Clemson Tigers transfer, Troy Stellato. The young chap carries with himself some impressive stats. The 6’1” 190lb wide receiver came up with 25 receptions for 264 yards and one touchdown also in the 2023 season with Clemson. However, his 2024 season has been plagued by injuries, as recently he tore his thumb. There is one more young man on whom Moore’s eyes are fixed.
That’s none other than the UConn wide receiver, Skyler Bell. Bell too made his talents talk as he had 47 receptions for 783 yards and four touchdowns. While these recruits are yet to commit to Michigan, Sherrone Moore already got his Christmas gift. That’s none other than RB Justice Haynes, who has already committed to Michigan. Looks like Moore’s dreams are coming true one by one.
