We have seen how college football head coaches have had their daughters as their biggest cheerleaders. Nick SabanKristen Saban, Deion SandersDeiondra Sanders. But when it came to North Carolina Tar Heels head coach, Bill Belichick’s daughter, Amanda, she has always preferred to support her dad behind the camera. However, she now realized that Bill needs some more support. And what better way to boost her dad’s spirit than some social media hype?

On October 13, Amanda posted a story on Instagram. She reshared a post by UNC Football’s official Instagram page. The caption of the original post read, “Driven by the process.” Bill’s daughter added her own take, “💜 the process.” The 41-year-old Amanda is Bill’s eldest child and only daughter. She was born in 1984. But other than being Bill’s daughter, Amanda has earned fame herself.

She is currently in her 10th season at Holy Cross as the head coach of the women’s lacrosse program in 2025. Even though Bill’s daughter holds a degree in history from Wesleyan University in 2007, she pursued her career in lacrosse. Amanda has previously told CBS News Boston that her father has “been a wonderful mentor” for her. However, lately, her IG profile has been filled with posts about her lacrosse team. Ever since Bill held the Tar Heels’ head coaching role, she hasn’t posted anything about her dad. However, Bill’s daughter could no longer stay in hibernation, as the college football world is raising fingers at the Tar Heels’ head coach.

Which Prospects should OSU target next?

Let Tony do the scouting, you just make the pick.

The question: where exactly is Bill’s North Carolina struggling? The question should be where they are not. UNC sports a -31.3 adjusted offensive EPA (expected points added) and -32.7 adjusted defensive EPA. Through five games in the Playoff era, Bill and co. find themselves in rare company, and not the good kind. The Tar Heels are one of just 13 teams to post an EPA of -30 or worse, joining the likes of Kansas, Rutgers, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon State, Georgia Tech, and this year’s Oklahoma State squad. Even then, what made Amanda run a PR campaign for North Carolina?

Her dad’s unwavering confidence. While Bill stands in the midst of a hurricane, nothing could ever mess with his conviction. The Tar Heels got crushed by Clemson, as their offense came up with a season-low 78 first-half yards and averaged just 4.5 yards per play. However, Bill trusts the process. “Yeah, 100%. Yeah, absolutely. It’s a learning curve, we’re all in it together, but we’re making a lot of progress,” the head coach sounded all confident.

He further promised the golden days are coming in Chapel Hill, “The process will eventually produce the results that we want to produce, like they have everywhere else I’ve been. So I’m very confident that players are working hard, they’re getting better, and we’re going to continue to do that and improve.” While Bill is yet to whitewash his team’s image, he now has too many off-field controversies on his plate.

Bill Belichick’s Nantucket getaway sparked criticism

All of this started with the bye week. Well, Bill holds six Super Bowl feathers in his hat, having coached in the NFL for nearly five decades. However, he is new to the college football culture. Here, the head coaches refuse to spend their bye weeks in leisure. Rather, it’s their gateway to move closer to the recruits and woo them.

We have seen former Alabama head coach Saban pounce on the recruiting trail, a day after winning the national championship. Forget Saban, among Bill’s contemporaries, Oregon Ducks’ head coach, Dan Lanning, stands as the greatest example of how recruiting should be done. The Ducks might be on a 5-0 winning streak, which is enough to bring in recruits.

Yet then, Lanning kept on pushing hard on the trail. And what about Bill? On getting a breather, the North Carolina head coach flew off to Nantucket with lady love Jordon Hudson. This led Colin Cowherd to dive straight into Bill’s hot seat status.

On his podcast, the analyst raised a wake-up call for the Tar Heels’ head coach, “One story says, and there are those disputing it, is that North Carolina and Belichick are already working on a buyout.” Even though the information did not come from a trustworthy source, the analyst still could not brush it away. He then dropped a sharp jab, “There’s an ick factor. And recently, Carolina had a bye. Bill goes to Nantucket with his girlfriend.” If Bill Belichick wants to make his kids proud, maybe it’s time to add ‘responsible head coach’ to his résumé.
