With UConn Huskies through to the Final Four, there are certain stories on the team that must be celebrated. One of them, for sure, is the case of Caroline Ducharme! The six-foot-two junior has dealt with a lot in her collegiate campaign so far. Frequent injuries and repeated issues mean that she hasn’t been able to play many games over the last two seasons. However, when she does play? Ducharme brings a spark of excitement onto the court!

Who are Caroline Ducharme’s parents? What do they do?

Ducharme hails from a family of athletes. Enough said. Her parents, Todd and Chrissy Ducharme, were in an entire league of their own during their collegiate days. Caroline’s dad, Todd, was a football and track-and-field athlete and participated in the decathlon as well.

On the other hand, Chrissy Ducharme was where Caroline got her hooping genetics from! Before succeeding at the collegiate level, she became the first girl’s basketball player to score 1000 points at Noble and Greenough School in 1987. This was a feat she later repeated in college.

Chrissy took her love for the game back to Nobles, where she not only coached lacrosse and basketball but also contributed to the admissions department. Todd channeled his competitive spirit into a career as a technology consultant. All of their history with sports and athletics led their children towards the same path–finding success through the hardwood floor.

Does Caroline Ducharme have any siblings?

Caroline Ducharme has the privilege of a large family, one that cares about her and her future success. She has two siblings: Ashley and Reid. Both of them have played college ball, but in drastically different circumstances. Her elder sister, Ashley, competed for the Brown University Bears and won Academic All-Ivy recognitions for her stunning academics and athletics!

But Reid? He’s all in on the hoop dream. The six-foot-seven guard was a four-star recruit out of high school and played a season for the Xavier Musketeers in 2023-24! However, he decided to transfer to Siena College, a MAAC team, for better opportunities in his sophomore year.

What are Caroline Ducharme’s parents’ nationalities?

The UConn Huskies star, her parents, and her siblings are all American nationals. Caroline was born and raised in Milton, not far away from the college where her parents met. Growing up, Ducharme was deeply influenced by Boston sports and their culture. She idolized Larry Bird and the Celtics’ rich history, which developed into a love for the game while growing up.
