Walter also signed a deal with Made For More Mentorship Academy. In addition, he has also signed an NIL deal with Wreaths Across America in 2023, where Walter Clayton Jr. honored veterans by laying wreaths on their graves.

Clayton’s journey to basketball is very different from others. The star excelled in football and basketball. Clayton used football to improve his basketball skills. And his high school coach called it an ‘intellectual brutality’. “I think it helped me mainly with the physicality part (of basketball),” Clayton said. “Sometimes it helps you see things before they happen on the basketball floor. I think those are the two main things.”

Clayton attended Lake Wales High School and averaged 17.5 points per game as a sophomore. Giving basketball more importance, Clayton then moved to Bartow High School, where he won two State Championships.
