With a staggering 4.5 million followers and over 167 million likes on TikTok, plus 350K on Instagram, the Cavinder twins have built an empire beyond basketball. Marketing, game day, workouts? A major chunk of their grids, yes. But that isn’t all they limit themselves to. Their life behind the scenes gets a little more love and so was the case today as the twins shared a story that had Haley lunging for life.
Away from their usual posting, the Cavinder twins shared a video captioned, “When your dog broke loose, thinking your identical sister was you.” It captured a dramatic moment where Haley was seen on the ground, injured, after heroically saving their dog. The Miami Hurricane Guard incurred a notable cut on her knee, limping as she continued walking.
It so happened that when Harvey Douglas Cavinder, the twins’ dog, confused one for the other and broke loose, Haley tackled him. Hanna reveals that there was nothing funny about it as the dog could have d-ed had the twin not leaped. “I put my body on the line,” Haley can be heard saying, while the other adds, “that was actually horrible; we are never not walking together again.”

The sisters are both listed 5-foot-6 and have acknowledged people often getting confused, a lot of times on the court. It is their #14 (Haley) and #15 (Hanna) jerseys that tell them apart. But unfortunate for poor Harvey, he found no help of that here.

The adorable poodle boosts a thousand followers of his own, ever since the twins introduced him in 2023. He’s been the most adorable, dressing up for occasions and posing for his sisters. Fans have sure loved watching him pop on the screen, but this one certainly carried a different emotion.
It was still an adorable moment as Harvey walked initially confused and then a little unbothered as the twins processed the events. Fans vouch for that, but they were also left worried with what went down and what could have been.

Fans react to Cavinder Twins’ new video
Harvey has been showered with most love by the twins– birthday parties, beach visits, pup cups, he isn’t missing out. Long-time fans know the adoration and could only imagine how scary the moment would have been. “PRAYERS FOR HALEY AND HARVEY, AND ALSO HANNA. THE CAVINDERS, THAT WAS SCARY!” one expressed.
Haley, averaging 18.4 points and 6.7 rebounds, has been a crucial presence for the Hurricanes currently positioned 14th in ACC. On a two-game losing streak, the team is looking to get back on track. But the guard could care little with life on the line. “We all need someone like Haley in our lives,” one added.
Some couldn’t help but notice Harvey’s collar and offered their two cents on how to avoid another close call! “Put a halter collar on him, not just the single around his neck. Hope your knee is ok beyond the scrape,” one noted.

The Cavinder twins have had their fun confusing people of the court. “You are not seeing double… you are seeing trouble,” they lip-synced just a day ago. But the flip off the court, certainly wasn’t what they wished for. One noted, “Twinning so hard, dog can’t even smell the difference anymore.” But they are glad everything turned out well. “Damn that looks painful but it’s worth it to save Harvey.”
Haley and Hanna are to return to the basketball court on the 13th for the game against NC State. Fans did express some worry in case of Haley’s unavailability. But so far, it has been nothing serious and hopefully remains so.
