“Think it’s best I put my heart on ice, heart on ice” That’s exactly what millions felt when Rod Wave released ‘Heart on Ice’ in 2019. Breaking multiple records along the way, Rod Wave has captivated millions with his soulful blend of R&B and hip-hop, making his way into the hearts of listeners through his music.

The American rapper is currently touring throughout the United States and captivating the fans who turn up with his soul-captivating music! Many consider his music to be therapeutic and I am certainly one of them! If I had an opportunity to watch a Rod Wave concert, I would go with my eyes closed and I am sure you guys would share the same feeling as me, right?

But, guess what! Not everyone shares the same feelings as most of us! Especially LSU stars Flau’Jae Johnson, Mikayla Williams, and Kailyn Gilbert! Despite having tickets to a Rod Wave concert, Jada Richards wasn’t allowed to go to one because of her teammates!

Flau’Jae Johnson took to Snapchat to officially confirm that she and her teammates won’t be letting Jada go to the Rod Wave concert, breaking the heart of Jada Richard in the process. In her Snapchat story, Flau’Jae asks her teammates about the Rod Wave concert and they all decline to let the freshman guard go to the concert. ”Hi y’all, I’m with my teamies, Jada wanna go to the Rod Wave concert!” ”Everybody said no, you said no, no.”(Pointing to her teammates). While they all make fun of Jada, she has some interesting things to say about Rod Wave!

Jada Richard calls Rod Wave therapeutic!

When asked about her decision to buy tickets to a Rod Wave concert, Jada promptly replied,” Okay so look, Rod is so therapeutic! The people who stand on the stage will be right behind, we will be face to face with Rod. And I have been having these tickets for almost two months” 

Flau’Jae promptly asks her a question, which we all might be thinking about right now. Why don’t you go then? What’s stopping you? In the same story, Johnsons asks,” But, what’s your dilemma??” to which Mikayla Williams goes, ”Shooting? bombing?” as everyone in the room bursts out to laughter.

This is however promptly denied by Jada but the real reason for her not going to the concert was never revealed in the story! Only Jada knows what went through her mind after receiving a resounding ‘no’ from her teammates about attending the concert. One thing is certain though, Rod Wave will continue to captivate fans like me and Jada with his music for many years to come!
