He is shy in front of the camera. He is shy in front of the mic. But if you give him a basketball, he will dazzle on the court. That’s Kadary Richmond for you. The 6 ft 6 guard answers questions in a few lines, but his performance on the hardwood speaks volumes. St John’s coach Rick Pitino was also happy with his recruit, who helped the team win the Big East Championship in 2025. HC praised Richmond along with the other winners in the postgame interview.

“Did I expect them to reach these heights? I didn’t really think about it.” Pitino said after the win. “But I have great gratitude that they did because we won a regular season and a Big East Championship because of their play. The three of them — [Luis, Ejiofor and Kadary Richmond] — have been unstoppable.” And it was spot on. While RJ Luis Jr. and Ejiofor were among the offensive stars, Kadary Richmond shined on both ends – throughout the season.

Yet on the biggest night of his career, in the iconic Madison Square Garden, Richmond stayed calm. Even with the red, blue and white confetti flying around and the crowd going wild, Richmond let his skills do the talking and kept his composure. This was not the first time Richmond tasted success. Richmond was a first-team All-Big East performer at Seton Hall in 2024. Notably, during the NIT Championship game against Indiana St, he recorded a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds, bagging the NIT title. He became the No. 1 overall player in the 247Sports Transfer Portal Rankings. The 23-years old now averages 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game, But did it affect his market value and had it helped Kadary get more sponsors or NIL deals? Check out below Kadary Richmond’s net worth, NIL deals and high school performances.

What are Kadary Richmond’s NIL deals as of 2025?

Ever since the NCAA allowed NIL (Name, Image and Likeliness) deals, it affected the transfers. Big teams with hefty programs, backed by bigger NIL deals, made it a bit easier for them to attract ‘potential star’ players. Kadary Richmond’s transfer to St. John’s also stemmed from the college’s NIL budget.

“Kadary came here … look, he wanted to play for me,” Pitino said in the first episode of Pitino: Red Storm Rising on ViceSports. “But we paid him a lot of money. We gave him a very large contract. If Seton Hall gave him the same contract, he would’ve stayed at Seton Hall.” Apparently, Richmond received an NIL deal in the six figures, according to NJ Advance Media’s reporting.
