There are not a lot of players in the women’s division of college basketball who can stand toe-to-toe with JuJu Watkins. The 2024 USWBA National Freshman of the Year exhibited her supremacy on the court in her first year and announced her arrival in a formidable fashion. However, it appears that there is someone who can get the better of her on the hardwood after all.

This became evident courtesy of a video she shared on her Snapchat account recently.

The dynamic USC No.12 paid a special visit to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro in Los Angeles. In an attempt to enjoy the vibes of the place, Watkins interacted with the talented young kids trying to hone their basketball skills. Thereby, her afternoon kicked off with her landing some long-range shots. Following this, it didn’t take long for her to find some competition. Just as she was finding her groove, a young kid wanted to take her on.

In what was an attempt to have some fun, the battle became pressing in a matter of minutes. Clearly, the video features Watkins having a real tussle as the youngster was in no mood to back down. Moreover, he had a response to everything Watkins threw at him. One of the highlights was him burying a beyond-the-arc shot which got the acknowledgement of the 6 ft 2 in guard.

Additionally, there were some impressive layups that he was able to garner in front of Watkins. However, the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award winner had some tricks up her sleeves when she blocked some of the shots from ending in the back of the basket. 

That was not all. JuJu Watkins channeled her inner child by showing off some of her skills in front of him. Meanwhile, this was not the only thing that caught her attention.

JuJu Watkins paid a visit to. As it turns out, she was also interested in their kitchen, laundry room, and their classes. The kids over there are taught how to cook along with doing their laundry and some lessons on sewing. In addition to this, the infrastructure also includes world-class facilities for imparting quality education to these young minds.

A day well spent for this USC superstar. A healthy interaction with this super-talented baller surely serves as an inspiration for these children. This visit will surely be memorable for them for a long time.
