Caitlin Clark of Iowa has established herself as a powerful force in the NCAA women’s basketball scene, drawing comparisons to NBA star Stephen Curry. Following Iowa’s game against Virginia Tech on Nov. 9, sports announcer Stephen A. Smith lauded Clark’s powers once more, calling her the “Steph Curry of women’s basketball.”

Caitlin Clark, who is in her fourth season with the Iowa Hawkeyes, has received several individual honors in college basketball but has yet to win a title. Angel Reese and Clark have a long history of feuding. Despite the fact that Reese’s LSU Tigers defeated Clark and the Hawkeyes in the last final, her current performances make her an actual threat for the rest of the season.

Caitlin Clark received a lot of praise from Stephen A. Smith following her valiant performance against the Virginia Tech Hokies. Clark’s latest play, in just her second Big 10 Conference game, further solidified her standing. She scored 44 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and had six assists to help Iowa win narrowly, 80-76.

It’s clear that Smith thinks highly of Clark. He asserted that Clark is the world’s greatest collegiate basketball player. “This girl is the best in the world on a collegiate women’s level. I don’t care what anybody says; there’s nobody better than her. She is a sensational talent; there is no question about it.” He then declared her Steph Curry of basketball. She is the Steph Curry of women’s basketball. That is what I call her.

Smith clearly admires Clark since he consistently compares her to the Warriors’ top guard on multiple occasions. Clark has an unbelievable 38 career 30-plus point games under her belt. “How many games is this now? That is her 38th career 30-point game, and you know, she has done 40+ several times. She is a marksman extraordinaire, and she is a wonderful, wonderful person, incredibly articulate as well.”
