Over the years, some kinds of beef between players have been part and parcel of the game. Clippers and Lakers point guards, Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo share a bitter equation with each other for a long time. Both being competitive on their own ends have added fuel to their fight every now and then.

The reasons trace back to the 2008 Olympics went the two were trying their luck into the US Redeem Team alongside likes of LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Kobe Bryant. Paul surpassed Rondo at that time, and eventually, jealousy secured a place between them.

They budged into each other a year later when Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans met in the season. Rondo and Paul exchanged some words out there on the court, and that was it for the two.

As of recently, the two did get into a scuffle in 2019 when the Lakers took on the Clippers. They fought on half-court line with a few punches here and there. According to Paul, Rondo spat on him, but the Lakers player denied that later on.

Lakers guard Rajon Rondo reacts weirdly on being identified as Chris Paul

A few months back, Rondo is walking in a shoe store and a fan calls him Chris Paul knowingly or unknowingly. The hilarious part is Rondo’s reaction to that. The video surfaced on the internet for a long time because of all the history the two players hold.

Rondo gave a pathetic expression to the person busy clicking a selfie thinking he’s Paul. The fan says, “You’re not Chris Paul?!” to which Rondo replies, “Nah who are you?”.

It’s that disgusting look that makes it funnier on a whole new level. That face says it all, how much he dislikes getting called as CP. Rondo looked like he’ll be punching that man the very next minute. But thankfully that wasn’t the case.

The two have had a number of encounters in the past, and a fresh one seems to await them. If a probable Lakers vs Clippers Western Conference Finals does take place, it’s a Paul-Rondo battle once again. We’ll have to see if something new is about to happen after ten years of this feud.
