Doncic led the team alone and broke a playoff record for most points by a debuting player. Mavericks won the second game owing to the contribution of their bench, despite Luka Doncic getting in foul trouble.

Tensions have been running high from game one, and game three seems to have reached a boiling point. It started with double technicals for Luka Doncic and Montrezl Harrell after Doncic stared at Harrel.

The Mavericks have struggled in the first half of this game. They are entering the third quarter down by 14 points. Luka Doncic is struggling, missing a lot of shots. Even though he has 5 assists, the Clippers seem to have gotten into his head.

Doncic is shooting 3/10 in this half, however, he does have 7 assists. The bigger surprise has been his shocking free throw shooting, with Doncic currently 4/10 from the free-throw line.

Porzingis is pushing the pace and one of the few efficient scorers in this game. He is on 12 points and may have to take the leadership role in this game with a misfiring Doncic.

Kawhi Leonard has been running riot on the Mavs, already having scored over 20 points in this game. Paul George is having another hard day scoring, having missed 8 of his 10 attempts.

The Mavs have been outmatched on paper but fought through the first two games to show that they aren’t a seventh seed that will lie down for the higher seed. However, this game might not be the one for them.
