Upon entering the Orlando bubble, NBA players found themselves having a lot of time to spare initially. The athletes engaged themselves in different activities, having fun with their teammates after a long time away. Similarly, three Los Angeles Lakers players virtually got together to play a game of NBA 2K and ended up crashing the online servers.

Lakers point guard Quinn Cook is an avid player of the 2K game. A few days ago, LeBron James and Anthony Davis decided to enter a game and teamed up with Cook. When other players started noticing the trio inside the 2K server, they started following them.

Everyone started following LeBron, AD, and Cook and the lobby began to get more crowded. This became too hot to handle for the game’s servers and eventually crashed at one point. Cook couldn’t contain his excitement and posted a tweet tagging his teammates on Twitter.

Los Angeles Lakers’ Quinn Cook reflects on crashing the 2K servers along with LeBron and AD
27-year-old Quinn Cook joined in for a chat with the Spectrum SportsNet panel recently. In a casual discussion, Cook opened up about the bubble experience and further was asked to recollect his experience of making the 2K servers go berserk.
“We’ve been wanting to do that all season,” Cook said, talking about playing 2K with LeBron and AD. “Obviously there’s no better time.” Cook then revealed that they finally caught up when they had a few hours to spare following a practice session. “They broke 2K. They broke it,” Cook exclaimed.
“It was crazy man. I play 2K a lot. I’ve never seen the servers act like that, I’ve never seen the fans [players] be around like that. It was fun. All three of us, we had a ball. We were in a party together,” Cook added.
Moreover, Cook smoothly dodged a bullet when posed with a tricky question. He was quickly asked to answer the better 2K player among the three [LeBron, AD, and himself.] By attributing one quality to each of his teammates, Cook called himself the “best in the park,” but also humbly said “we all complement each other.”
