Title defenders have a lot on their plate this offseason. They are part of many NBA trade rumors, with several of their players thinking over their contracts and have chances of becoming free agents. A name that has just been tossed in the market is Los Angeles Lakers’ Avery Bradley.

Spending the previous year with the Lakers, Bradley has a $5 million team option for the coming season. If he picks this option, he will go back to the 2019-2020 NBA Champions. However, it looks like there are teams who are trying to get Bradley to opt-out.
Golden State Warriors and Bucks interested in Bradley
According to Chris Haynes from Yahoo, if Avery decides to test the waters by entering free-agency, Golden State Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks are among several teams that want to lure him away from the Lakers.

The Warriors and Bucks were on two opposite ends of the spectrum last season. Golden State finished at the bottom of the league, with the worst record in the NBA. But with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson expected to make their returns, the Warriors might be one of the teams running for contention.
On the other hand, the 2019-20 season was the second straight year in which the Bucks landed the best record in the league. But because they lacked building a roster around their superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, they lost to Miami Heat just in the second round of the playoffs within 5 games.
Is the Lakers’ PG a good fit for these two teams?
Opting out from playing in the Orlando Bubble because of personal reasons, Bradley appeared in only 49 games last season. He averaged 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. The guard carries a great reputation as a defender. He was named Second-Team All-Defense in 2013 and First-Team All-Defense in 2016.
Signing with the Warriors will mean that he will most likely come off the bench. But it will be a sight to see how he utilizes the opportunity of playing alongside Steph and Klay.
As for the Bucks, Bradley is the perimeter defender they desperately need. The Bucks’ inability to stop three’s flying out was their biggest weakness last season. A weakness for which Bradley can be a quick fix.
