The legacy of Shaquille O’Neal under question

A recent post by an Instagram page said, “Being gifted a once in a billion body is no skill. He barely worked out. His prime was short. He does not know the path others have to go.”

After the first post got hate, it was followed by another post that did a turn around and said that Shaq was the greatest Center player in the league.

The newer post received a lot of engagement and as a result, it came to the attention of The Big Shamrock. The 4-time NBA Champion responded to it by writing, “And still he’s the most dominant player ever. #workoutforwhat”

Shaq has been in the news lately

Recently, the Big Cactus had been quite a huge critique himself. He called out the Lakers and especially Dwight Howard and suggested that he must not bask in the glory that did not come from hard work. He publicly showed his irritation at seeing Howard celebrating the championship on social media.

The 48-year-old also had a troubled relationship with Kobe Bryant in the early days of their three-peat. Still, Shaq very deservingly makes for a celebrated NBA analyst.

At the peak of his career, especially in the season 1999-00, Shaq averaged close to 30 points and north of 13 rebounds per game. He was undoubtedly one of the best and the most feared centers in the league. A god-given athletic ability, coupled with his size made his flaws few and far between.

In reality, nothing can actually challenge  Shaq’s extraordinary achievements, let alone an Instagram posts.
