Pat Connaughton entered the NBA in 2015. Coming in as the 41st pick in the second round, Connaughton found his role as a player coming on from the bench. He has started very few games, and now he plays with the Milwaukee Bucks. The 27-year-old has an interesting statement to make about his current teammate and reigning MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Connaughton is yet to make an All-Star appearance, but his teammate Giannis has earned several accolades in his stint in the NBA. Milwaukee’s guard Pat Connaughton in a recent appearance on The JJ Redick Podcast with Tommy Alter, drew an interesting comparison to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Here is what Connaughton had to say:

And to agree with Connaughton, both Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been extremely active off the court, as they are when competing. Giannis made sizeable donations for COVID affected victims and even donated a large sum to his team’s arena workers.
Damian Lillard has been voicing his views on the Black Lives Matter movement and took part in rallies to further extend his support. Both NBA stars are doing so much good off the court. It clearly explains the humanity and the urge inside them to give back to society.

When the NBA resumes, this will be one of the hottest topics to debate about. Does Giannis deserve the 2020 NBA MVP award? The question is highly in discussion as LeBron James is a serious contender as well. LeBron has been on top of his game, in his 17th year in the league.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been a savior for the Bucks this season. His average of 29.6 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game has largely helped the team hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Apart from winning his second MVP award, Giannis would hope to go the extra mile this season.
