When LeBron joined the Lakers, he had many courtside interactions with Kobe. Bryant was supportive of LeBron ever since he joined the Lakers. His last tweet was him commending LeBron after he reached 34 thousand career points.

Will LeBron continue in the footsteps of Kobe Bryant?

After winning this title, LeBron and the team will be motivated to get it back next year. Although the league is bound to get stronger, the Lakers will still be among the best teams. Shaquille O’Neal recently said that the Lakers need to win two-three titles before they can call it a legacy. LeBron along with Anthony Davis will be hoping to create a new dynasty in LA, just like Kobe did with Shaq and Pau Gasol.

One concern for the Lakers is that they are tied up in cap space for the upcoming season. Rajon Rondo looks set to reject his player option and test the market. Free-agent Dwight Howard is also likely to get bigger offers than the Lakers. Markieff Morris, who also had an impressive campaign, could be on his way to a team that throws him more money.

The GM will be doing his best to help keep these players on the team. The Lakers need such playoff performers around LeBron and AD as they attempt to carry forward Kobe Bryant and his legacy.
