When LeBron James blasted “10/10” across social media, he turned heads. But when Carmelo Anthony spoke of Sinners, he cracked open skulls. He laid bare the ancestral trauma that fuels Ryan Coogler’s vampire epic. Fresh off promoting his STAYME7O cann–is line in Syracuse, Melo sat down with Spike Lee and didn’t just praise Michael B Jordan’s dual turn. He also confronted the “horror at the end of the day” woven through Black history. He showed the NBA world that true appreciation demands more than applause—it requires understanding the stories behind the screams
James promptly shared a photo with his wife, Savannah, in front of the ‘Sinners’ poster on X.. Along with it, he shared a message praising the director and the actor. “My brothers Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan did it again!!!ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE FILM! Ryan, Thank you for allowing My Queen, I, family and friends to screen it. 10/10 movie! Make sure y’all go check out “SINNERS” tomorrow! It’s a MUST SEE!” James wrote.
In the latest episode of 7PM at Brooklyn, Melo and his team delved into a discussion about the film’s profound themes. Just at the mention of Sinners, director Lee was impressed as he excitedly yelled, “Dope.” “I just love to see him work,” Melo said, praising B. Jordan.. However, unlike James, the New York Knicks legend described what the movie meant to the fans.

Highlighting the emotional depth of the story shown in the movie, Melo said, “Going back to our history, black history, like our story is so strong and deep rooted that a lot of it is horror at the end of the day right so to be able to artistically like put that into story to film making to be able to still keep the essence of of what we built and our ancestors and the spirit built this country.” Anthony’s reflections on ‘Sinners’ come amidst his recent endeavors, including promoting his cann–is brand, StayMelo, in Syracuse.

In ‘Sinners,’ two twin brothers, in an urge to escape their troubled lives, return to their hometown only to find themselves in more dire straits. Melo’s commendation of Jordan’s performance was reciprocated earlier when Jordan praised Melo’s son, Kiyan, for his basketball prowess.
