Shaquille O’Neal’s obsession with collecting cars is nothing new. With a reported 40 cars in his garage, the Lakers legend never shies away from adding more. Previously, the NBA icon bought 3 Rolls-Royce, because at the time, the salesman didn’t recognize him and doubted he could afford one. Even last year, he added 3 Elon Musk Tesla Cybertrucks to his esteemed collection. Despite this addition, Shaq listed his real problems with the futuristic machines.

On the latest episode of The Big Podcast, the guest is also an avid car collector. Naturally, the topic of conversation with comedy legend Karlous Miller was about different automobiles. That’s when Miller joked to Shaquille O’Neal about giving him one of his cars, that too, a Hellcat. The 4x NBA champion declined the request since he only has one now. “I used to collect hellcats, I had 10 of them but only got one now.” What happened to the rest?

I sold them, traded them in, you know what I’m on now?” asked Shaq. Before talking about his current car, which he is enthusiastic about, the Lakers legend listed his problems with Cybertrucks. “I was into the Cyber Trucks, but they don’t get enough, I want to say what’s the word I’m looking for, electric mileage? Yeah, charger mileage.” As per Big Diesel, the EV doesn’t give him enough distance for the amount of energy (in kWh) used to travel that distance. That’s why he switched to a new machine.

Right now it says 267 if I go to Atlanta to the thing and come back, when I come back it ain’t going to be…

Something to note for Elon Musk, as previous reports suggested other issues for the buyers. That’s why Shaq has moved on to the Escalade, which features twice in his collection.

The same dealership again fulfilled Shaquille O’Neal’s demand

For the better part of last year, Shaq added 8 cars from the same dealer and gave them two of his own in a trade. This indicates that the dealer’s work ethic truly impressed the NBA icon. “I see a kid on the internet who’s just starting his business, and I support him…” The Lakers legend previously stated on his podcast that the association is with Effortless Motors.
