But the NWSL star is leaving no stone unturned in professing love for her beau since hard launching their relationship in March this year.

It’s not the first time Rodman was in the audience to support boyfriend Ben Shelton. On April 19, she made a notable appearance in Shelton’s players’ box during the SF of the BMW Open in Munich. It was the 1st time the USWNT star publicly cheered on her beau from such a close vantage point. Now she is in Paris, as the tennis star is focused on claiming his glory in the French Open, a place where Trinity won the Olympic gold medal.

The 13th-seeded American was in action during his Round 1 win at Roland Garros. Trinity Rodman and Shelton’s father, Bryan Shelton, who is also his coach, applauded from the stands. After winning the first set, the American was down 2-1 but took over from the 4th set for a comeback win. Ben Shelton beat Lorenzo Sonego for the second straight time at a Grand Slam this year, winning 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 under floodlights to reach the second round of the French Open on Sunday.

The 22-year-old took a medical timeout at the end of that set for treatment on his left ankle. Since the daughter of former NBA star Dennis Rodman knew what her partner went through to muster the win, she encouraged in her Instagram story: “I’m in awe of you 🤩❤️.” As the U.S. women’s soccer team recovers from her injury, she knows truly well what it takes to win with that pressure under the lights.

The 23-year-old plays for the Washington Spirit and missed a considerable amount of action on both the domestic and international fronts. Her back issues have haunted her since her 2021 NWSL debut season. After a standout performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the injury flared up again. This time, it was so unfortunate that she needed the assistance of a wheelchair to take her off the field.

Since Dennis Rodman’s daughter used the time off the field to spend more time with her boyfriend, trolls questioned her judgment. But the forward replied to them in her classic manner: “Yes, I’m grinding almost every day in pt to get back on the field… NO, I’m not just being a wag and vacationing:) thank you.” This was two days ago, as the Spirit forward shared clips of her rehabbing the back.

Even USWNT head coach Emma Hayes offered a glimmer of hope this week. She suggested that Rodman was “heading in the right direction” but did not predict a return date. As Trinity’s post suggests, she is taking her time off seriously. But that doesn’t mean the forward won’t make time for her boyfriend, Ben Shelton.
