La La Anthony brings unmistakable flair to Washington’s courts this week, transforming her legendary courtside commitment into a culinary conquest. Beyond her passionate cheering, designer fits, and genuine fan moments, she’s now navigating DC’s food scene with the same infectious enthusiasm, turning timeouts into taste tests and hunting neighborhood gems that tell stories as exciting as the games themselves. Her primary mission? Supporting son Kiyan at his prestigious Jordan Brand All-Star game.

Her courtside-to-kitchen odyssey reveals a side of DC tourists miss, proving La La’s talent for finding authenticity extends well beyond basketball’s boundaries into the heart of the capital’s vibrant flavors.

La La Anthony took to social media and posted a story. The story featured a drool-worthy plate of crabs. She added, “So, I drove four hours for this. Well, not really, I drove four hours cause Kiyan is playing in the Jordan Classics today…but this right here makes me happy.” And who wouldn’t be gorging on a plate of seafood so appealing? But this was merely a side-quest as she is here to support her son, Kiyan, in his All-Star game.

The Classic is a proving ground where the best high school seniors display their skills before heading to college or, for some, directly to professional opportunities. And that is exactly what Kiyan did: prove himself.

The 2025 Jordan Brand Classic: Kiyan Anthony’s rise to the top

Kiyan Anthony had a standout senior year. He led the Long Island Lutheran to the EYBL Scholastic final and snagged MVP at The Throne. So, what’s the next stop? Syracuse, just like Melo. But before that, Kiyan’s got this mountain to climb.

Kiyan Anthony delivered an outstanding performance at the Jordan Brand Classic, scoring 26 points on 11-for-15 shooting, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, and grabbing five rebounds. His efforts earned him the MVP award for the game as Team Air beat Team Flight 141-124. Notably, his father, Carmelo Anthony, presented him with the MVP trophy. A full-circle moment for an imminent Hall-of-Famer as Carmelo himself was a standout in the inaugural Jordan Brand Classic in 2002.
