Due to the style and intensity of the game, NBA stars are some of the tallest athletes in the world. To put things into perspective, when one of the tallest NBA stars met with tennis legend Roger Federer, the latter had to look upwards.
In a pic dating back to 2014, Houston Rockets icon Yao Ming was seen with Federer. Needless to say, the height difference was staggering.

NBA legend towers over Roger Federer
Standing at an incredible 7-foot-6 inches, Ming towered over Federer who stands at a 6-foot-1 inches height. The tennis legend had uploaded the pic on Instagram with a caption of two eye emojis.

Thanks to his incredible physicality, Ming was the tallest player on the court more often than not. Most notably, Ming is known for his rivalry with Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal. The two big men had many incredible battles with Yao Ming recording an incredible feat of blocking three of Shaq’s shots in one game.
On the other hand, Roger Federer is one of the greatest tennis players and athletes ever. The 41-year-old recently shocked the sporting world with a piece of news regarding his future.

Roger Federer has dominated the tennis world for quite some time now. He has 20 Grand Slam titles to his name and happens to be the player with the most Grand Slams in history.

However, as all good things come to an end, so has Federer’s career. He announced his retirement from the game with an emotional letter posted on social media platforms. The tennis legend is set to retire after playing in the Laver Cup 2022 scheduled from the 23rd of September.
This marks an end to Federer’s phenomenal 24-year-old career in the sport of tennis. In the letter, he called this decision ‘bittersweet’ and also talked about knowing his ‘body’s capacities and limits’.
Apart from his Grand Slams, Federer holds the record for the most consecutive weeks as No 1 with 237. Moreover, he is also the oldest player to rank as No 1, a record he achieved in 2018 when he was 36.
