Khloé Kardashian and former two-time NBA champion Lamar Odom finalized their divorce in 2016, three years after Khloe initially filed for divorce. Moreover, Odom’s near-fatal drug overdose caused the divorce finalization to be delayed. 

Life support was administered to him as he was in a critical situation. Furthermore, as soon as he recovered from his illness, the reality star filed for divorce once again. There have been a variety of reasons that have led to their marriage ending during that time. Odom made an honest admission about the trauma in his life in 2015. 

It all started in 2009 when the two started dating. As their bond grew stronger after a month, they decided to get married. After all these years of their marriage falling apart and getting separated, Shannon Sharpe, the three-time Super Bowl champion, sat down with the former NBA star on his show, ‘Club Shay Shay.‘

Lamar Odom explained how he got into drugs at a young age. He went on to say that it affected both his career and marriage with his ex-wife Khloe. Also, he mentioned that he tried everything he could to save his marriage, but to no avail.

Odom revealed he had undergone kidney failure, six heart attacks, and 12 strokes as a result of drug abuse.
