It is no secret that Shaquille O’Neal made history on the court, but has also built an empire off the court. Even after retiring from basketball, O’Neal has built a business empire through endorsements, investments in companies, and entrepreneurship.
Former bodyguard Adam Plant, also known as Big Adam, discussed his experiences with some famous celebrities such as Floyd Mayweather, Snoop Dogg, and O’Neal in a podcast with Jay Bling.

In addition, he discussed his business with his wife. Both of them own a cheesecake factory.

Big Adam and Shaquille O’Neal had a brotherly relationship
Adam was asked during the podcast about his experiences with celebrities as being a bodyguard of a million-dollar empire is not only a huge opportunity but also a big responsibility.
In response, he said that this is a huge opportunity and that if they are going to trust him, he must first trust himself. With respect to his relationship with O’Neal, he said they had a brotherly bond. Additionally, he said that it was a pleasure to work with the superstar as they mostly joke around together.

Later, he explained that the goal of his career is to increase his statistics per celebrity client. Customers trust him to deliver the results they expect. In the end, he credits his success to his wife since being a bodyguard requires a strong wife.

In addition, Adam talked about the cheesecake and the business with his wife. He notes that it’s a blessing how things turned out as people who seem to like their product. Being a bodyguard is not an easy job, as he says.
He also talked about how he deals with the stresses of his personal life and professional life.
Maintaining a healthy relationship with his wife and children while being on the job must have been stressful. It was difficult for Big Adam who had to go on tours and be out of town for days.
