The Philadelphia Sixers were on a four-game win streak when they traveled to Chicago to play the Bulls. In the November 6th game, they reclaimed their EC dominance and won it 114-105. With an MVP level performance from leader Joel Embiid, the host had no answers to the visitors’ questions.
However, it was not just The Process’ performance that grabbed the headlines, it was also a potentially lethal move from him. In a sequence, he almost ended Lonzo Ball’s career then and there.

Did Joel Embiid sucker punch Lonzo Ball?
The answer to this question was a big yes, if not for the luck that Lonzo Ball carried. With 40 seconds remaining in the second quarter, the Sixers were leading by 9 points. That’s when guard Seth Curry passed the ball to Joel Embiid. Face-to-face against center Nikola Vucevic, The Process lost the ball and could not convert.

This got the 4x All-Star super mad as he spun and threw a massive punch in absolute aggression. Just as he did that, his fist missed Lonzo Ball’s face by centimeters. Had Lonzo been a little closer to Joel, he was in the hospital today. Such would have been the impact of this unintended blow.

Notably, Joel was upset for not getting the call. But the way he reacted could have potentially ended Lonzo’s career.
When The Process mocked the Chicago crowd
Just 18 seconds remaining in the game, the Sixers were 109-104 ahead of the Bulls. With the possession with Joel Embiid, the MVP candidate scored a dagger over Nikola Vucevic and an approaching Zach LaVine. Post that, he looked over at the crowd and waved them a head-shaking good-bye.
Embiid scored a 30-point double-double to ruin Zach LaVine’s 32 point performance as the Bulls took their second loss in the season. Currently the 76ers and the Bulls are in 2nd and 3rd position in the conference.
