The Lakers are trying to find their groove again after a terrible loss against the Phoenix Suns in Game 1. In fact, they were the ones that looked like the underdogs throughout the match. The Suns have proved to be a tough competitor in the race to the NBA championship but it seems like LeBron James and Co. are slowly turning the tables in Game 2, and a jumper by Anthony Davis even has AD trending on Twitter.

Jae Crowder gets in between Anthony Davis and his shot
This was no ordinary jumper, and it resulted in AD kicking the rival between the legs. Just eleven minutes into the first quarter with no points from the Suns or the Lakers, AD came face to face with Jae Crowder to take the first shot.
Being just a few steps inside the arc, AD took flight and while doing that, he let one of his legs loose, and Crowder got caught in the crossfire.

The kick looked brutal as Jae was seen dropping down on the floor with pain. With that, AD got a flagrant foul early in the game. Looks like AD took ‘going all in for the win’ way too seriously.
However, Davis was quick to apologize for this, and Crowder was quick to forgive him too. As per Ryan Ward, “Anthony Davis says “it wasn’t intentional” when he kicked Jae Crowder. He’s not that type of player and says Crowder knows it wasn’t intentional.”

What game 1 looked like vs how Game 2 is turning out
In Game 1, the Lakers looked absolutely defeated in every aspect. From shooting 43% from the field and a meager 26% from the arc to being beaten 47 to 33 even in rebounds was shameful. The purple and gold struggled to contain Devin Booker who dropped 34 points on them. DeAndre Ayton matched him with his 21 points and his monstrous 16 rebounds alone.
This duo was just too good against LeBron and Anthony Davis. In fact, one can actually label the first game as one of Bron’s worst playoff games. Not only that, but AD himself contributed just a putrid 13 points. However, the Lakers seem like this time they have gotten the hang of things and are fighting better.

LeBron has a pattern of losing the first game but always rallies back. Fans can only hope that this holds true as the Suns trail them in the first quarter. But can the Lakers maintain this lead in the rest of the game too, and tie the series?
