Anthony Davis goes down again

With just a minute left in the quarter, the Lakers were trying to make something happen. With Davis having the ball, he dished the ball out to Rondo who lost it. However, Davis tripped over a Timberwolves player. As he went down he immediately he held on to his right ankle and sat in pain. Davis has returned back since suffering the injury. But a later blow to the knee saw him exit the game and not return.

That wasn’t all for the Lakers member. Karl Anthony Towns put Anthony Davis through it all in that opening quarter. Starting the game off 4/4, Towns went right at Davis. After hitting a basket in the post, Towns called Davis ‘small’. He is currently leading all scorers with 19 points for the night.

This loss could prove crucial for the Lakers. The purple and gold have dealt with injuries all season with LeBron James missing almost half the season. Moreover, they are yet to have Trevor Ariza and Kendrick Nunn play a game. With Davis also going down, the Lakers will have to alter their rotations yet again going forward.
