Stephen Curry has played for the Golden State Warriors for more than 13 years now. He has inspired a new generation of upcoming basketball players who have seen the man hooping and winning trophies during the mid to late 2010s. James Wiseman was among those kids who attended basketball camps with Curry and is now playing alongside Curry.

The young star was drafted by Golden State in 2020. His towering presence attracted their scouts. It was also a coincidence that their biggest star, Curry saw him play when he was a part of the camp. Standing at 7 feet high is undoubtedly advantageous for any potential NBA player.

Yet getting selected by the Warriors must be a special thing. Many naysayers might say that the Warriors have an uncertain future after Curry retires but Wiseman is one of the players ready to take the reigns once the point guard is done hooping.

There was recently a Twitter post about them getting viral. The Golden State Warriors’ social media team showed us how at a young age, Wiseman was already dwarfing the likes of Curry.

The young rookie will try to get back up after facing a multitude of injuries recently. His torn right meniscus had affected him badly. He still won a championship medal despite not being there. He returned during a Summer League game and put up 11 points, two rebounds, and two blocks against the San Antonio Spurs.

Stephen Curry had a legendary Finals run

As James Wiseman celebrated his medal, Curry finally got the deserved fruits of his labor. He got his ‘holy grail’: the Finals MVP award last season. Stephen Curry had to face a very defensively solid Boston Celtics team in the Finals. But that didn’t contain him in the end.

He averaged 31.2 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists during the Finals. Game 4 was certainly a highlight for him, scoring 43 points. He had a field goal percentage of 48.2% and a three-point percentage of 43.7%. He had a three-scoring rate of over 50% in four of those six games.

It was a legendary performance that deserved the award. He sank Boston’s ship to get his fourth chip in eight years.
