With a victory over the San Antonio Spurs, The Los Angeles Lakers finally seemed to be finding their groove. Therefore, coming into this match, they seemed confident of facing the Chicago Bulls at the Staples Center.
However, unlike the Lakers, the Bulls have looked great through the season with Lavine and DeMar DeRozan leading the team. The duo came right at LA in the first half as both were hot. And despite having a size advantage, the Lakers struggled to feed the ball to Anthony Davis.

The Lakers were still without LeBron James in their lineup. However, the return of Talen Horton Tucker had added a good two-way dynamic to the team. On the other hand, the Bulls played without center, Nikola Vucevic, and continued with the small lineup.

This lineup offered the Lakers an advantage to use AD as a true center. However, they failed to put Davis in the paint and fans had their say about that.

Fans angry at Anthony Davis
Despite being the tallest man on the floor today, Davis failed to make his presence felt. While the Lakers did not put him in a great position, Davis himself looked passive. That caused trouble for the Lakers as they ended up losing 103-121. Looking at this, fans were clearly not happy and took to Twitter to criticize Davis.

Russell Westbrook started aggressively for the Lakers scoring 19 points in the first half. However, Anthony Davis couldn’t back up his last game’s performance as he went cold with just 7 points in the first half.
DeRozan and Lavine were the stars of the show as they kept going shot for shot. DeMar backed up his mid-range game and scored 22 first-half points on 8-14 shooting. On the other hand, Zach relied on his three-point shot hitting 5 threes in the first half.
Despite not having a true center, the Bulls were leading the Lakers 57-48 at the half and eventually won comfortably. And even with Davis being the tallest man on the floor, he was not able to dominate. So much so that he shot the ball just 4 times in the first half.
