A user has just sent NBA fans on Twitter into a frenzy. A video of Sacramento Kings player Buddy Hield has gone viral where he can be seen shaking hands with the Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss.
The user who posted the video wrote,” Buddy Hield to Lakers Confirmed.”

Was Buddy Hield close to joining the Los Angeles Lakers?
The Los Angeles Lakers were very close to a trade involving the Kings guard, Buddy Hield. When the Lakers looked to strengthen their roster in the summer of 2020, Buddy Hield was one of the prime candidates.
The deal did not go through as Hield remained in the Sacramento Kings while the Lakers signed Russell Westbrook. Hield gave his opinions regarding the failed deal and mentioned how he has moved on from it.
Buddy Hield says while talking to NBA.com, “It’s basketball. If it happened, it happened. If it didn’t, it didn’t. But it’s basketball, and you have to live with it. It’s the business side of it. At the end of the day, I still have a job. I can go to all 30 teams in the league. As long as I have a job, I’m happy.”
Hield averages 15.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this season. The Lakers could’ve certainly used the services of a player like him as they are struggling with Russell Westbrook.

Whether the deal will go through or not, it’s still very early to call. But it will certainly blow everyone’s minds if it does go through.
