Although Curry is all aware of the pressure of performing in front of millions of people, hosting an award show is a whole different affair. Safe to say, he has good mentors. Talking in an interview, Curry revealed that he is taking advice from Drake and Manning.

Curry said, “When it comes to the hosting gig, obviously I’m nervous and excited. I don’t really know what to expect. I actually tapped into Drake and Peyton Manning on what it’s like but I think once I get out there, I’m just going to have fun.”

Are Stephen Curry and Drake friends?

It is no surprise that Drake has many friends in the NBA. He regularly attends NBA games, especially of his hometown team, the Toronto Raptors. Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is just one of Drake’s high-profile friends in the NBA.

The two famously trash-talked each other while the Warriors and the Raptors took on each other during the 2019 NBA finals. Safe to say, Drake had the last laugh as the Raptors got the better of the Warriors.

Interestingly enough, a track from Drake’s album, ‘Certified Lover Boy’, had a reference to Ayesha Curry, Steph’s wife. “How am I supposed to wife it? You not Ayesha enough,” said Drake in the song ‘Race My Mind.’
