Stephen Curry is the player with the most three-pointers in history and there is more to his game than just shooting. Recently, he won the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. This is Curry’s fourth NBA title, further solidifying his stance as an NBA legend.

However, he wasn’t always this good from the start. A rare video shared by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal showed a young Steph and his father, Dell. While Steph struggled to shoot a ball into the basket, his father trash-talked him. Dell said, “You’re shooting bricks man!”

Safe to say, Curry, got his revenge in the perfect way. He surpassed Ray Allen as the player with the most three-pointers in front of his dad.

Stephen Curry breaks three-point record

Since his big breakthrough in the NBA, Stephen Curry has made his name through his shooting. He is widely regarded as the greatest shooter ever and he has the stats to back them up. Curry has shot a whopping 3,117 three-pointers spanning his entire NBA career that started when the Warriors drafted him in 2009.

When the New York Knicks took on the Golden State Warriors on the 14th of December, 2021, it was more than just a regular-season game for Steph. During the first quarter of the match, he hit his 2,974th three-pointer in his career. This moved him past Ray Allen, establishing himself as arguably the greatest shooter ever.

Interestingly enough, his father, Dell Curry, and Steph’s Davidson College coach were seated courtside as they witnessed him break the record. After successfully making the shot, Steph went and embraced his dad, producing one of the most iconic moments of this season. He further won the 2022 NBA title and the Finals MVP to add to this spectacular year.
