When asked about the most expensive gift he ever gave to a stranger, he answered that it was some furniture that he had purchased for an old lady. O’Neal spoke about the time he had been at a store to buy a couch and observed an old lady comparing prices.

The athlete decided to pay for the couch. However, when he was informed that the old lady’s house had been burned down, he stepped forward and purchased some other furniture as well for her.

Shaquille O’Neal’s most expensive gift to a lady

Even though the lady did not want to take such a costly gift, the superstar was not one to hear a no and he furnished the entire house for about $30,000. O’ Neal said:

When I leave the house, I try to do a good deed. I’m just trying to make people smile, that’s all.”

O’ Neal has always been known to help others. In fact, this is what he replied when he was questioned about the amount:

The amount wasn’t important, what’s important was that grandma has a smile on her face. I was glad to be able to do that.” 

Fans will remember a viral video when O’Neal took the initiative to pay for the engagement ring of a young man. O’Neal’s generosity is something that his fans will always remember him for.
