NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is undeniably one of the smartest people to come out of the NBA. With his experience of over 30 years in the game, Shaq has made some really wise decisions on the business front. It’s a no-brainer that his words are taken seriously because you don’t get to his level without being incredibly smart. This time around when Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens is in the $200 million soup, Shaq has offered his 8-word advice to the quarterback.

26 years old Lamar Jackson has been in the news recently for his $200 million contract with the Ravens. Reportedly, Jackson wanted to represent himself during the negotiations for his contract. Jackson’s decision to not have an agent do the job for him attracted a lot of criticism for the young player, especially on social media.

However, about two weeks ago, he tweeted “133/3years fully guaranteed but I need a agent?” to put an end to the criticism. Notably, other than Jackson, his mother has also acted as his agent.

Recently Shaq was on the I AM ATHLETE show where he was asked for his comments on the ongoing issue. The Big Aristotle didn’t waste much time before dropping an 8-word bombshell as a solution to Jackson. Shaq said in his response, “Always have somebody who know what they know.”
The 4x NBA champion said this for the athlete’s advantage as anyone with expertise on the said issue will be able to help Jackson. Shaq also said that he has a lot of representation and that is a reason why he is so successful in different fields.
Hopefully, Shaq’s advice is received well by the Ravens quarterback, given the experience O’Neal has had as an entrepreneur.

Shaq has amassed a massive amount of wealth to build his empire over the years. Although he earned almost $300 million from his NBA contracts, the Big Man has only elevated his net worth post-retirement. Shaq owns over 150 car washes and over 40 gyms. He has his own line of children’s books, sneakers, jewelry, and suits among several other businesses. At one point Shaq also owned 155 Five Guys restaurants. On top of all this, the 15x NBA all-star is also a successful DJ.
It is safe to say that a piece of advice coming from someone as dominating on and off the court as the LA Lakers superstar is priceless.
