LeBron James is a fan favorite player in the league. Moreover, even the fellow NBA players see him as an inspiration. Turning 37 in a matter of days, the King is playing at a MVP level. He is one of the leading scorers in the league and is doing unbelievable things. Sacramento Kings center Richard Holmes is in shock of what James is pulling off at 36.

LeBron has been on fire for the Lakers ever since coming back from his injury. The Akron Hammer is posting phenomenal numbers and making his impact known. However, that hasn’t reaped the rewards as the Lakers are 0-5 in their last five games. It is still surreal to think what LeBron is capable of doing at almost 37.

Holmes in awe of LeBron James

LeBron is putting up just over 27 points per game which is the third best scoring average in the league. Moreover, he is efficient and has done a great of getting his teammates involved as well. He has scored at least 30 points in 7 of his last ten games and is giving his all to see the Lake show succeed. Holmes expressed his shock at what the King is doing.

He said: “Gotta appreciate LeBron while we can. It’s crazy he still playing at this level.”

The 36 year old is putting on a show every night he suits up. Unfortunately, injuries and players being out have majorly impacted the Lakers. Their defense has crumbled on multiple occasions. Without Anthony Davis, they don’t have a constant source of offense on their side either. Hence, the load is all on the shoulder of LeBron James.

While he does have Russell Westbrook, he has a more passive role. However, lately Westbrook has tried to be aggressive but is unable to do it consistently. As of LeBron, his durability continues to see no boundary. James is putting up one of his best numbers in his 19th season in the league.

Despite the Lakers’ struggle, it is hard to not admire what James is achieving this season. A true exemplification of saying, ‘age is just a number’, it makes it more shocking with the workload he takes. All LeBron can ask for now is for the Lakers to get back to their peak and get back to winning ways. Do you think LeBron James will continue to produce this output with Anthony Davis back in the lineup? Let us know in the comments below.
