The NBA finals are one of the most anticipated events in the sporting calendar. The annual sporting extravaganza records millions of views from all around the world. However, a celebrity NBA fan was denied the opportunity to watch LeBron James and Stephen Curry battle it out on the court.

The celebrity is none other than Ryan Gosling. The Hollywood star revealed an interesting story as to why he could not follow the games live.

Talking on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show, Gosling was asked whether he was following the games or not. Gosling said, “Well, I knew I was gonna be on the show so I was excited to watch the games. But, I have a 2-year-old and a 3-and-a-half-year-old so, let’s be honest, I’m not watching anything that doesn’t have a talking tiger in it.”
This interview goes way back to 2018, when the Cleveland Cavaliers took on the Golden State Warriors. He missed out on a lot as Curry and James put on a show for the fans.

Stephen Curry gets the better of LeBron James again
The 2018 NBA finals saw two of the best teams in the league face off against each other over the 7 games. It was the Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the Golden State Warriors. More importantly, it gave us a battle between two of the most iconic players of the past decade, Stephen Curry and LeBron James.
Although the series promised to be a close one, it was a straight win for the Warriors. Led by Curry and Kevin Durant, the Dubs swept the Cavs 4-0 to win their second consecutive title.
Curry averaged 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. However, it was Durant who stole the show. He averaged 28.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 7.5 assists, and this performance awarded him the Finals MVP award for the 2018 finals.

From the Cavaliers, LeBron pretty much single-handedly carried the team. He averaged 34.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 10.0 assists.
