Despite their recent win against the Utah Jazz, the Lakers’ struggles this season are clear to see. The age factor has gone against them, and injuries have hampered their title hopes. Moreover, there has been very little support for LeBron James. If these concerns weren’t enough, questions have been raised over the fit of Frank Vogel under the current system. And now, a new report has emerged, with some discouraging news for the 48-year-old coach.

The Lakers are sitting in a risky spot in the Western Conference. With a 22-22 record, things can go either way for them. As reported by multiple sources, Vogel has been taking the season on a game-to-game basis; whether or not this has worked, is another question. James has been the shining spark in an otherwise topsy-turvy year, averaging nearly 29 points. For a while now, however, there have been rumors that Frank Vogel is treading a fine line. Is time up for him?

REPORTS: Frank Vogel very close to getting ousted by the Lakers

Following their poor run of games, the legendary Magic Johnson lashed out at the roster. He firmly asserted that owner Jeanie Buss deserved better and that the team had no sense of effort or urgency. In the aftermath of this, mainstay LeBron James issued a public apology, which perhaps motivated the team to their rout of Rudy Gobert and Utah.
