The Los Angeles Lakers once boasted of having one of the best duos in the league and in NBA history. They are none other than Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant.
Despite being one of the most dynamic duos on the court, they had a troubled relationship outside of it. Their rocky relationship was more than evident and apparently, this was one of the biggest reasons why Shaq left the Lakers.

Talking in an interview with YouTube star Logan Paul, Shaq touched upon the details of his beef with Kobe. Interestingly enough, the former NBA champion described it as a ‘disagreement’, rather than beef.
Shaq said, “It wasn’t really beef. It was a disagreement at times because he wanted to shoot all the time and I was like you gotta pass it to me all the time.“
He further added, “I would never spill over to real life because you know, at the end of the day, I got to go home to my children. If I see you out, it’s not like Imma beat you up in front of your kids.“
The relationship between Shaq and Kobe has been talked about extensively across the decades. Although Shaq and Kobe’s time at the Los Angeles Lakers came to an abrupt end, they are still regarded as one of the best duos ever.

Shaquille O’Neal joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 1996 and joined hands with Kobe Bryant. The two were still fairly young back then and formed a very nice pair on the court.

They led the Los Angeles Lakers to three NBA titles and the two won many other individual accolades during this time period. Playing with Bryant, Shaq averaged 26.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 461 games. On the other hand, Kobe Bryant averaged 21.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.4 assists during his stint with Shaq.
