The Brooklyn Nets are yet to showcase the trio they formed earlier in the offseason. After James Harden joined the Nets after a dramatic trade, all everyone could talk about was how they were going to be the biggest barrier for the Los Angeles Lakers trying to reclaim their championship this season. Unfortunately, James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving have only played together for seven games until now.

Thanks to injuries, Durant was sidelined for the most part, and now that he has returned, Harden is out. And this isn’t worrisome because KD hadn’t played for so long. But what about the chemistry they need before they enter the postseason? Looks like Durant isn’t worried about that.
On ESPN, Durant addresses the question if he sees any potential issues as they move closer to the playoffs. “I’ll see more issues if we’re not focused. If we’re not locked in with the game plan, more so than anything. Once we got a good game plan and we follow it to the T, then we’ll start to see stuff form.”

“The chemistry, if you want to call it. Just energy form around like us following what the coaches need us to do to succeed. I think things will work out for us. But we definitely want to get on the floor,” he explained.

Brooklyn Nets face defeat against Lakers
While the Nets are speculated to be the biggest title contenders for the Lakers, their recent loss against them has raised doubts over that. In fact, the purple and gold were not just without LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kyle Kuzma, but Marc Gasol and Wesley Matthews were missing from the lineup.
However, Irving got ejected mid-way after getting into a scuffle with Dennis Schroder. Even Kevin Durant is playing restricted minutes but still managed to score 22 points. Neither did they have James Harden to lead the way.
While the Lakers had received so much heat for being solely dependent on their two superstars, that changed today. And concerns about how the Nets will get more victories when they lost to an under-manned Lakers. Their loss led them to slip down from the top position again.
Now they will be looking to set things straight in their next matchup against Minnesota Timberwolves. Is KD right? Do the Nets have no chemistry issues to worry about moving forward?
