In spite of being in a rampant form already, the Phoenix Suns are set to make a huge splash in the market. Even with their current roster, Monty Williams and co. sit comfortably on top of the Western Conference. However, they are likely to receive a huge boost in the form of an experienced center-forward. This potential acquisition is 25-year-old Domantas Sabonis.

Spearheaded by the guard duo of Devin Booker and Chris Paul, the Suns have edged Stephen Curry’s Warriors in the table so far. Courtesy of some astonishing cohesive play, the unit looks set to go one step further from their 2021 finish. In their most recent win, they downed the in-form Chicago Bulls. Phoenix Suns reportedly pursuing Indiana Pacers’ Domantas Sabonis

Currently, DeAndre Ayton is the chosen man in the position of center. He has been a gem of a find for the men in purple, averaging over 16 points this year. Now, the youngster may have some competition lined up. According to a fresh report, the Suns are keen on signing ex-All-Star Domantas Sabonis of the Pacers soon. As per the same report, Phoenix wants to close the deal before the trade deadline.

The Pacers could be open to sending out Sabonis, considering they have already sent out Caris LeVert. This season, Sabonis has amassed a magnificent 18.9 points on average, along with 12.1 rebounds and 5 assists. As per Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, “A handful of personnel around the league have recently mentioned Phoenix’s intriguing interest in acquiring Sabonis.” However, nothing concrete has been agreed upon yet.
