LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were one of the most potent offensive duos of the early 2010s. They represented the ‘Heatles era’ for Miami. Miami had a dominant super-team consisting of Wade, James, Chris Bosh, and, later, Ray Allen. They won the 2012 and 2013 titles to cement their dominance and also missed out on two titles in 2011 and 2014.

LeBron and Wade were the offensive duo that led the Miami Heat front and center. They are usually compared to Jordan and Pippen. The latter won all the six finals they went to. Tracy McGrady came out with a hot take saying that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were better than the above duos.

Gilbert Arenas had a different view on this topic. He mentioned that offensively they may be, but Wade and LeBron had other qualities too. He said to VladTv, “Yes, Kyrie and Kevin Durant are offensively juggernauts. They might not be, like, Dwyane Wade wasn’t this amazing dribbler, slasher, dunker, blocker.”

“You look at his creativity. Once he got in the air you, got LeBron jumping over people, I mean, the things that they did like that’s skill.” He mentioned that Wade and LeBron were above even Pippen and Jordan.

Dwyane Wade?s potency as a shooting guard is not remembered by today’s fans. In the 2006 Playoffs and the Finals, it was Wade who took his team to a path of glory. He went through a solid Detroit Pistons defense to put up a stat-line of 27-6-5. He shot 62 percent from the field and 81 percent from the line in the Conference Finals series.

In the NBA Finals, he gave us a master class with a stat-line of 35-8-4, three steals, and a block. He had one of the greatest playoff performances ever against the Dallas Mavericks in the Finals.

He carried a team whose supporting cast was equivalent to a body bag. LeBron James was acquired in 2010 and that changed the team. Wade became the second in command to James. He started posting up more and was able to take more shots in the paint, due to LeBron being very skilled with the ball.

His injuries had knocked down his career. His dreary 3-point shot too limited him, especially against the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, and in today’s era, three-point shooting has become more important. But, nonetheless, he will always be magical for the city of Miami, the Heat, and its fans. LeBron, too, will be remembered for giving great memories to the city of Miami.
