Recently, Peacock network’s The Rich Eisen Show invited Basketball Hall of Famer and 7-time NBA all-star Grant Hill to talk about his new autobiography. During their discussion, Rich Eisen asked him about his thoughts on LeBron James and the laker new roster with a new head coach. Grant Hill has admired James before and even said that if he could team up with any one person from the current generation, it would be LeBron James. But while talking with Eisen he said that even after an injury-ravaged season, LeBron can come back up next season to contend for his 5th ring.

What did Grant Hill say?

Grant Hill quoted “I think for him, obviously, it’s difficult for him to sit at his home and not play and he has only been into these situations two other times when he is not in the postseason. I think his first year and in 2019, and the last time this happened, they went and won the championship.

He also added about LeBron’s health and said, “First of all just getting that rest and letting his body heal up and you know particularly as he gets older. I think that will really charge him up and he will be ready to tackle next season.”

He acknowledged James by saying he is ready for a potential title run at 38. He said, “I know LeBron is super motivated, and the end is near. So this could be his last opportunity to really go for it and contend and attempt to try and get that fifth ring. It’s going to be an exciting season.”

How did LeBron James play?

Even at the age of 38, LeBron averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists during the 2021-22 season. He made 52.4% of his field goals, which was the highest he’s had since becoming a Laker. It is the second-most points he has averaged in a season.

He played only 56 games because of sprained ankles he suffered. But that was not the only reason as he also had knee soreness that first flared up after a Jan. 25 win against the Nets.
