LeBron James was overburdened with the workload, and the Lakers lost 4 straight games recently. Does this deter LeBron’s chance of winning MVP?

There are already talks about LeBron James losing some stability that he’s earned this season. Does a 4-game skid really contribute towards hindering a player’s MVP candidacy? A lot of people say yes, but there are others who strongly object to the case!

LeBron James has been solely carrying the Los Angeles Lakers on his back in the absence of Anthony Davis. Schroder, too, missed quite a lot of games and the entire blame fell on LeBron, even when he had his duties multiplied.

When hasn’t LeBron James been under scrutiny? His whole career has been magnified and meticulously watched, and everyone likes to make something up against the 4-time MVP.

Now, James is taking a hit for failing to win without Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroder on the team! Naturally, Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless had a debate about this on a recent episode of their program, and it should be mentioned that it is the former, who is always in favor of LeBron James. Skip Bayless is infamous for throwing harsh comments at the Lakers superstar.

“I don’t think LeBron has done anything to hurt his case because none of the other MVP candidates have done anything to help their cases. I still have LeBron in 1st place,” Sharpe asserted on national television.

“If anything, LeBron James has maybe gained a vote here or there, but he has not done anything to harm his candidacy,” he boldly added.

Sharpe just had one major reasoning to state his case. If any of the other MVP leaders had two of their best teammates taken away, would they be able to perform at the same level? It did seem like a logical question indeed, but not everyone finds themselves in the same situation!

It is just about making the best out of what’s available. LeBron James has now got his team back to winning ways and has been continuing to average 25/8/8 which are mindboggling numbers for a 36-year-old!
