The Laker fans had a tough season this time around. Their loss to the Phoenix Suns only added salt to the wound. The purple and gold faced playoff elimination with the loss against Phoenix. Likewise, fans were left upset with their team going out in such an embarrassing fashion. However, Lakers announcer, Stu Lantz, couldn’t wait to put the season behind.

The Lakers were one of the favorites coming into the season. The addition of Russell Westbrook formed their ‘Big 3’ with LeBron and AD already on the roster. However, none of it worked the way fans imagined. Everything that could go wrong went that way for the Lake show. With just 31 wins under their belt this season, they are the 11th seed with no shot at a postseason run. And it seems like many other fans, Lantz is also frustrated.

Even the Lakers announcer had no hope

The Lakers went into a must-win game against the number 1 seed, Phoenix Suns. Coming off 6 losses in a row, things were not looking bright for the Lakers. Likewise, they failed to come out on top against the Suns as they lost 121-110. While fans were hopeful of a late-season miracle, Lantz was already over this season. In a technical glitch, Stu was caught going at the Lakers for their horrific season.

He said: “Hello, Anthony. SOS, DD. Get this over with. Put us out of our misery.”

While Lantz made his feelings clear, his words were not supposed to come out. It was most likely a technical glitch where it is believed Lantz was checking the mic. However, despite that, he converted the message of all Laker fans.

It has been a season full of upsets for the Showtime organization. With a dysfunctional roster, they never got a grip on the season and everything fell apart after their stars picked up injuries.
