Former players like Dwight Howard and DeMarcus Cousins have taken their talents to play in Taiwan and Puerto Rico respectively. Former Lakers legend Shaquille has been open with his criticism of players who decided to leave their home to play for what he calls the ‘outside’ leagues. He finds this to be the reason why the American league has still not reached its complete potential.

Shaq disapproved of Dwight Howard’s move to Taiwan, while calling his own legacy more impactful in comparison.

He said in an episode of his podcast, “I got four championships. If I didn’t have no championships or rode the coattail of a guy who won one championship and then moved to Taiwan, then no.”
