One of the best aspects of Morant’s game is his jumping and dunking ability. Interestingly enough, a former teammate of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant would go to the extent of punching Morant. Talking on Boston Celtics legend Kevin Garnett’s podcast, John Salley gave the reasoning behind this thought.

He said, “Everybody can dunk. If I saw Ja do that right now, I’m telling you right now, I would punch him so he wouldn’t dunk on me. I have never seen a kid, I don’t know, explosive? I have seen a lot, but that kid, he jumps, he’ll dunk on everybody!”

It seems like Morant’s dunking ability overwhelmed John Salley. The dunking ability of Morant has made him one of the toughest players to guard in the NBA. There have been numerous moments this season where Ja has shown what he is capable of.
