A Russian court near Moscow has sentenced WNBA star Brittney Griner to 9 years in jail. While the prosecutors asked for a 9 and 1/2 year prison sentence, the judge has given 9 years. And before joining the WNBA, Griner was a huge college star for the Baylor Lady Bears in Waco, Texas. She led her team to an NCAA championship win in 2012.
