Karl Malone is the oldest player in NBA history to record a triple-double. The durable ‘Mailman’ was 40 years and 127 days old when he had 10 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against the San Antonio Spurs on November 28, 2003.
On the other hand, LeBron James is 36 years as of now. This means that he will have to lace up his boots for four more seasons to even have a sniff at it. That will also take him into his 22nd season. In the aftermath of their back-to-back overtime wins, LeBron said that he didn’t have a particular target as to how long he would want to play more.

“I don’t know how long I’m going to play the game, I don’t know how much more I’ll be able to give to the game, but the way I feel right now, we’ll see what happens. I have no timetable on it. … The game will let me know when it’s time,” James mentioned.
