Despite the issues faced by the Los Angeles Lakers, James has maintained his pace, making sure that he is at the top of his game. His most recent encounter against the Washington Wizards was only a witness to his greatness on the court, once again earning him GOAT mentions from fans and others.

That being said, James, himself seemed proud of his performance. He dropped 50 against the Wizards, making it his second 50-plus-point performance in just three games. While James’ on-court presence awed fans, other NBA stars and icons seemed to be just as impressed.

In his recent Instagram post, James asked his followers about being entertained; the questions being rhetoric. The response, however, was explosive. “GOAT GOAT MILK GOAT CHEESE ERRRRRTHANG GOAT,” wrote Jamie Fox, visibly overwhelmed.

Of course, fans and other internet celebrities continued to reply. The comments section was a flurry of goat and crown emojis, fans trying to get their point across. To many, James’ performance amid the Lakers’ position is proof of how great he is as a player.

Additionally, James is now the only player over 35 years of age to score 50 points multiple times. He has also joined Michael Jordan in scoring 50-plus points in different decades. Furthermore, the 37-year-old also became the league’s lead scorer with a 29.7 PPG average.

Can the Lakers reach the playoffs?

The Lakers are currently placed ninth in the Western Conference. While this does not guarantee a spot in the playoffs, the team qualifies for the play-in tournament. With James having stepped up his game, the team might find themselves in the playoffs after the play-in.
