As it stands, the Los Angeles Lakers are in a very bad position with their performances and the level of play they are showing. Their losses don’t bode well for their chances of winning the championship this season. Furthermore, LeBron James suffered an injury during a match that resulted in a heavy loss for the Lakers.

Also, their season just went from bad to worse. According to reports, if we end the season right now, the Lakers will not even be qualified for the play-ins. Particularly after their poor performance against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. As a result, they dropped to 11th in the Western Conference.

At this point, since Laker’s top players are injured, they could call them back depending on the situation. James and Anthony Davis are expected to play in Friday’s game against the No. 9 New Orleans Pelicans. Unfortunately, the situation is unlikely to change anytime soon.

If we look at the way they are performing right now, their chances are eighth-worst among the 25 teams still eligible for the playoffs. If they played like this for the remaining games, there would be no way for them to qualify for the Play-In Tournament. 

We can see the reaction to the Lakers’ performance on Twitter, with some even mentioning James: “Well LeBron James Can Always Turn to Acting.” Other users commented: “Stay calm everyone. 7 games left.” Providing hope.

The Ringer’s Odds Machine showed, through reports, that the team has only a 50 percent chance of participating in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament if they perform well in their remaining games.
